Our Team
I have wide experience of teaching English in secondary schools and am well qualified to teach at KS3, GCSE and A level. I have an active cultural life in London where I sing in a community choir, and I enjoy exploring the literary history of the city.
After teaching English in Spain, I have worked as an English teacher in secondary schools in the U.K. for the last 29 years, including four years as a teacher of bilingual learners and five years in an independent school in Surrey. I have taught classes to GCSE in English Language and Literature, and others to A Level, especially in English Literature. I have been a head of department and a form tutor and have extensive experience of curriculum planning and managing educational resources in a school setting.
I like to share my enthusiasm for English with students and strive to encourage them to discover their own interests in the subject. I guide students to find and develop their own ways to navigate their own reading and writing journeys.

Since qualifying as a teacher in 2009, I have taught Maths in both Mainstream and Special Needs secondary schools up to KS5.
I have gained Leadership experiences in the various roles, SENDCO, Numeracy Coordinator, KS3 Coordinator, Maths Lead and Pastoral. In previous roles, I have participated in developing SEND and Maths departmental policies, including curriculum planning.
My enthusiasm for Maths gives me the drive to encourage the students to develop their love for the subject through various forms of teaching styles and resources.
